Richard Wilson DNAP, CRNA

Dr. Wilson graduated in 2006 from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine with a Masters in Nurse Anesthesia, and in 2022 from the Medical University of South Carolina with his Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice. Currently, he serves as the Assistant Program Director – East Coast of Ursuline College with Somnia Nurse Anesthesia Program. Before that, he was the Assistant Program Director for the University of South Carolina and opened their second campus in Greenville, SC. He authored the chapter on Blood Component Therapy in the latest edition of Nurse Anesthesia and has published in JOPAN and the AANA Journal. In 2023, Dr. Wilson was selected as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology and recently elected to serve on the AANA Leadership Identification Committee. He continues to practice clinically and mentor future CRNAs through CRNA School Prep Academy.

Melissa Fitch Eisenhauer, DNP, CRNA, APRN

Administrator and Assistant Professor for the University of Evansville Nurse Anesthesia Program in Evansville, IN. At the University level, she serves on the Faculty Professional Affairs Committee, the Graduate Curriculum and Admission/Standards Committee, and is a Faculty Senator representing graduate programs. She serves on the Faculty Senate Executive Committee and will Chair the committee during the 2025-26 school year. Dr. Eisenhauer continues to practice anesthesia at the Digestive Care Center in Newburgh, IN. Her quality improvement and research interests include faculty stabilization in nurse anesthesia programs, virtual reality (VR) to supplement nurse anesthesia education, and clinical preceptorship (barriers and improvement initiatives) in nurse anesthesia. Most recently, she was the lead author of Barriers to Effective Clinical Preceptorship in Nurse Anesthesiology, published in the Journal of Professional Nursing.
