Dr Michael DeBroeck CRNA begins the lecture defining the terms “law”, “legal”, “criminal”, “civil”, “ethics” and “morals”. Differences between law and ethics in anesthesia practice are discussed. Ethical responsibility as well as personal responsibility are described. Lastly, review of competence and responsibility in professional practice round out the hour.
